Prachinburi is located in the North-Central Area of Thailand. The province covers an area of 4,762 square kilometres which makes it the 45th largest province in Thailand, it only has a population of under 500,000 though which makes it one of the least populated. The lower part of the province is fairly ‘low lying’ having been formed by the Prachin Buri River. The northern part of the area is dominated by the Sankamphaeng Range. The area is well known for its fruit production and this is how a lot of income is generated. The rest of the area is popular with eco-tourists with a number of natural features to visit, as well as cycling paths set up.
