Phetchabun Province is located in the lower north section of Thailand. It is an incredibly fertile area and the majority of the revenue generated from the economy comes from farming. The ‘fertile’ nature of the area is provided by the Pa Sak River. Mountains dominate the skyline to the east and the west of the province. Much of the area is covered in ‘untouched’ forest, the Nam Nao National Park being one of the most popular of these areas. Whilst there are a lot of waterfalls in the area, none are more popular than the Than Thip Waterfall, which is surrounded by lush forest. A good proportion of income is also generated from ecotourists.
