Nakthon Pathom is located near the centre of Thailand. It is home to the famous Phra Pathom Chedi which was placed there in 1870. It is an incredibly small province and is located less than 60m away from Bangkok. The drainage in the area is served by the Tha Chin River. One of the most interesting places in the area is the Phutthamonthon, a large park in the east of the province dedicated to Buddhism. The Jesada Technik Museum also has people coming from far and wide to take a look at the beautiful vehicles on show here. A lot of the economy is supported by the fruit farmers in the area, although this is closely tied in with the tourism. There are plenty of fruit farms around for people to visit as well as beautiful canals.
