At the northern end of the Malay Peninsula lies the province of Phetchaburi. The Tanaosi Mountain in the east is the boundary between Myanmar and Thailand. The rest of the area is a flat plain area dominated by rainforest. There are very few rivers in the area, but there are a number of caves which are filled with a number of Buddha statues and are a great area for religious tourists to visit. The area is also home to the Hat Cha-Am Beach Resort, by far one of the most popular beach areas in all of Thailand, tourists flock from all over the world to visit it. One of the key features of the province is a reservoir.
