Phatthalung Province is located in the South of Thailand, it is on the Malay Peninsula. One of the most interesting sites in Phatthalung is the Songkhla Lake which lies on its border to the east. The majority of the west of the province is covered in mountains. A great proportion of income is generated by the number of tourists who flock to the area to gaze at the natural wonders that Phatthalung has to offer. These tourists then purchase a number of items ‘unique’ to the Phatthalung Province include the famous Kalamae and delicious Coconut Coffee. The area is also known for its banana production.
