Nakhon Si Thammarat is located on the shore of the Gulf of Thailand. The majority of the area is covered in forest hills, and it even boasts the highest point in Thailand in the form of the ‘Khao Luang’. The area is home to some of the most important historical sites in Thailand. Some of the most popular sites include temples dedicated to the Brahman religion, as well as a number of temples. Owing to Chinese people settling there a number of years ago, a good part of the province is covered with ‘Chinese Architecture’. Popular natural sights include the Karom Waterfall and the Khao Luang National Park.
